Last night, the Crown Gospel Music Awards Nominees reveal party took place at the luxurious Mhulu Luxury Hotel in Midrand, bringing together the top talents in the Gospel music industry. The all-white event was a vibrant evening of live performances, including a captivating acapella piece from Sakhiwe, setting the stage for this year’s Crown Awards main event.
Among the nominees, Andile KaMajola dominated with six nominations, and Xolly Mncwango followed closely with four. The competition includes both emerging and established artists, making this year’s awards especially exciting. “We are beyond thrilled with the nominees, and the main event will be nothing short of spectacular,” said the Crown Gospel Music Awards Executive Producer.
A Notable Lineup in Best Collaboration
Rofhiwa Nethengwe, Executive Member of the Crown Gospel Music Awards, highlighted the Best Collaboration category as one to watch, featuring nominations for 3C Live ft Ntokozo Mbambo, Bethusile Mncinga ft Zuko SA, Phindi-P ft Sindi Ntombela, and Thinah Zungu ft NUZ VOJ & Jumbo. “This will be a tough one!” she said.
Artist of the Year Award Surprise
A special highlight was the announcement of the Artist of the Year prize, which includes an all-expenses-paid trip to the USA, sponsored by USA Africa Unite Events and the Crown Awards. This coveted prize promises an unforgettable experience and showcases the exceptional talent within South Africa’s Gospel music industry.
